GLOBAL WARMING? CLIMATE CHANGE?

Global Warming? Climate Change?

There are and have been without a doubt much occurrence of such phenomenon that have been truly amazing. I say amazing in the scope of intensity, and too of their rapidity. They seem to be still yet occurring. I am noting the extreme weather patterns. Of things that have been occurring in the skies the many earthquakes, fires, tsunamis, hurricanes and so much more.

What is going on? The answer of the mainstream media and scientific community seem to be pointing to these extremes as GLOBAL WARMING or now the buzz word used is this that they call CLIMATE CHANGE. It does seem to fit their narrative little better.

The tornado that recently as just a few days ago that made its trek up through some of the midwestern states that caused much destruction. It is with sadness that our thoughts and prayers are for the families of the injured and too those who have suffered the loss of their loved ones.

What I see and what we are hearing that disturbs me is the explanation of this event and the so many other things we are seeing as well.

The FEMA chief as recently as yesterday has said and is recorded in the New York Post. Yes, of course this tornado is due to Climate Change. Even Joe Biden is echoing this by pointing out Climate Change as the most possible reason.

A Yale scientist had this to say of this same event. “This event was not just unusual — it was truly historic and deeply shocking. I fear we are poking the climate beast,” said Jennifer Marlon, a climate scientist at the Yale School of the Environment. Whatever she meant by the “climate beast” she does not elaborate on.

As of Nov. 11, 2021, recorded in the New York Times, had this to remind us of the severity of “CLIMATE CHANGE.” I quote from the article, “Climate Change is increasing fire risk in California and elsewhere in the west.”

In an article written by Sara Kaplan as of Dec. 14^th, 2021, I quote from her a “journalist” for the Washington Post. “Climate Change has destabilized the earth’s poles, putting the rest of the earth in peril.”

What about hurricanes? Brian Donegan writes for weather.com is recorded as of May 19^th, 2020, article. He writes that, “Hurricanes are getting stronger due to Climate Change.” “Hurricanes getting stronger as the world warms.”

How about earthquakes? Earthquakes are increasing. Not only are they increasing they are being felt in places that have never felt them. I live in Oklahoma; I have never felt an earthquake here up until the last few years.  

University of Miami’s Shimon Wdowinski has noticed that in some parts of the tropics – Taiwan included – large earthquakes have a tendency to follow exceptionally wet hurricanes or typhoons, most notably the devastating quake that took up to 220,000 lives in Haiti in 2010. It is possible that floodwaters are lubricating fault planes, but Wdowinski has another explanation. He thinks that the erosion of landslides caused by the torrential rains acts to reduce the weight on any fault below, allowing it to move more easily.

Again, here recently we have seen a typhoon that has misplaced over 300,000 Filipinos. This has made food scarce, and has left entire villages, communities, and towns devastated and some no longer even standing.

We are seeing this with the promise of seeing more and more on the way. What is this? “GLOBAL WARMING?” “CLIMATE CHANGE?”

If you’re born again, and you believe the Bible, you know what this is. This is the last days. The end is near. The time of our redemption is closer than we think.

If its GLOBAL WARMING? If its CLIMATE CHANGE? How can we not find this ironic in that suddenly we are seeing this now? Let me tell you about GOD’S “GLOBAL WARMING.” HIS “CLIMATE CHANGE.”

The greatest cause of this…

Deut 28:15 "But if you refuse to listen to the Lord your God and do not obey all the commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come and overwhelm you:

16 Your towns and your fields will be cursed.

17 Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be cursed.

18 …your crops will be cursed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be cursed.   NLT

Deut 28:38 "You will plant much but harvest little, for locusts will eat your crops.

39 You will plant vineyards and care for them, but you will not drink the wine or eat the grapes, for worms will destroy the vines.

40 You will grow olive trees throughout your land, but you will never use the olive oil, for the fruit will drop before it ripens.     NLT

Sure, sounds like (GLOBAL WARMING, CLIMATE CHANGE…)

Some will say, this was specifically given to Israel for their sin of backsliding. This is true, but to think that our LORD will not deal with sin and backsliding with the same is to deny that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Heb. 13:8

It is to deny the words of JESUS. In HIS prophecy of Mt. chapter 24. In part HE had this to say.

Matt 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.   KJV

This is the last days.

Jude 12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.    KJV

This is SPIRITUAL CLIMATE CHANGE. This is SPIRITUAL GLOBAL WARMING at its end.

To deny it is to deny the Bible. To say that you don’t deny the Bible and yet not read, nor study or endeavor to live by its precepts is to deny the word of GOD. This is SPIRITUAL CLIMATE CHANGE… THIS IS GLOBAL LUKE-WARMING…

Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. KJV

Paul had this to say about it…

Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.     KJV

Paul uses this phrase. “THE WHOLE CREATION GROANETH.” This word (GROANETH) means (JOINTLY, TOGETHER… THAT IS EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE INCLUSIVE OF THE EARTH…

Its crying together for relief… Relief is not curbing the “carbon footprint, reducing the fossil fuels, or recycling. Its for people to come back to GOD. For man to repent. To humble themselves and pray. To seek HIS face. To turn from our wicked ways. (II CHRON 7:14.)

THE WHOLE CREATION GROANETH--- One writer says, universal, and mutual grief. ALL IN WHAT MAN HAS BECOME. WHAT IS LEFT BUT THE EARTH, THE LORD, AND GOD’S PEOPLE PREPARED TO RECEIVE THE FINAL AND CULMINATION OF GOD’S PROMISE. THE WRITER SAYS ON, one wide and loud lamentation, groan, cry in which the dying world unites.

THIS IS SPIRITUAL CLIMATE CHANGE…

Lev 18:27 (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;

28 That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.    KJV

 

 

Thanksgiving 2021

It is Thanksgiving a time to not just the showing or the giving of thanks but to gain understanding of how to give thanks. For this we know, (IT IS THE WILL OF GOD FOR US TO GIVE THANKS.)

1 Thess 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.   KJV

I don’t believe any would, especially those of us of the household of faith. That is would intentionally go against the will of GOD in not giving thanks.

I know of myself and I know of nobody that says, as I get older I hope to one day be unthankful. To do so is also the understanding that to not give thanks, is to knowingly go against the will of GOD. Which again, I know of no one who in the maturing of life has this concept of looking forward to going against the will of GOD. I say this, because this is exactly the depiction of the last days. The last days are going to actually be able to be discerned by the spiritual for this existent cause. There will be those who are filled with the Holy Ghost will recognize and understand that they are in the last days.

2 Tim 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,    KJV

Surely when one reads this. They will also pickup the many other characteristics that are listed as well. However, what kicks it off is this statement by Paul (THEY SHALL BE LOVERS OF THEIR OWN SELVES.) Is this not our day? Every characteristic listed and we see this one called (UNTHANKFUL.)

Have you ever stopped and asked yourself, what does (UNTHANKFUL) even look like? What does it sound like?

I am convinced that the (UNTHANKFUL) will be recognizable in the last days. Yet too, at the same time, it will be unrecognizable by most. How can that be? It will be this way because of one aspect of the last day church will be lethargy. It’s that lukewarm spirit that will reveal the Laodicean church. This leads to the question that must be answered. What then will being (UNTHANKFUL) look like?

 It will look like the denial of prayer. 

It will look like the face of unfaithfulness.

·        It will be seen in those unappreciative of service.

·        It will be criticism of authority.

·        It will even be blatant disregard of the preached word of GOD.

·        It will be an attack of those who are in authority.

See the latest in crime sprees. Those by the hundreds with crowbars and hammers breaking in stores and taking what they will. 

See those lately where we see police openly criticized, fired, even jailed. 

See those who wish to defund the police departments. 

See those where the police precincts have openly been taken over by a criminal element of the day. 

Please don’t let it go unnoticed that even the celebrity culture and certain political figures, and offices have also supported these criminal activities.

It is an (UNTHANKFUL SPIRIT) that is very much alive in both worlds. The secular and the religious.  

This is (THANKSGIVING) let us defeat this (SPIRIT OF UNTHANKFULNESS) by being thankful. 

We live in the greatest country in all the world. We didn’t get here, being (UNTHANKFUL.) Arise and let us fulfill the will of GOD today and be (THANKFUL.) Let us defeat this last day prevailing spirit by being (THANKFUL) and the giving of (THANKS.)

RECOGNISE YOUR DAY BY STRIVING THE MORE TO GIVE THANKS. This is THANKSGIVING.

There is story in the bible that gives us picture of one man’s life that was lost, not just lost but his soul was lost. What we know of him is very little. What we do know with clarity is this is he was of Jewish descent. The second observation we can make is this, he was a very rich man. The KJV bible, Jesus no less describes this man, with these words.  (HE FARED SUMPTUOUSLY EVERY DAY.)

This provokes the question.

How do we see him in hell?

·        It’s clear of what he is not.

·        He is not known as a liar, a cheat, or a thief.

·        He’s not a gambler.

·        He’s not unfaithful.

·        He’s not one addicted to the evils of his world.

·        He has no bad habits, addictions to be considered sin.

Why do we see him in hell? He enjoyed life. He enjoyed his labor. He enjoyed his security. Why hell? What was his sin? We looked at what he was not from a carnal or sinful view. Let us look at what he was not in the kingdom of GOD.

·        He was not a worshipper of GOD.

·        He was not in love with the word of GOD.

·        He cared not for the poor.

·        There was no house of worship he attended.

·        There was no fear of GOD.

Even though he knew the law of Moses… He was a son of Abraham. Yet, he cared not for Moses and the prophets. Because of this we can say that there was no desire to be godly. All this and we see this unnamed rich man in hell. The question yet remains. What caused him to go to hell?

What was this one sin that caused such an absence of these things?

Jesus noted it.

 Luke 16:25  Then Abraham said, 'Child, remember that in your lifetime you received good things to the full, 

What was his sin? Answer, the rich man was simply full.

You see when your full there is no room for anything else. Certainly not GOD nor the things of GOD. How can life being full cause one to go to hell? Simply put, because there is no room for GOD.

Jesus gives us to what we should desire to be full of.

·        Blessed are they which hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.    Matt. 5:6

It must be noted. You can’t hunger and thirst after anything when you don’t realize your empty.

When you’re not hungry and thirsty after the things of GOD. The conclusion can only be one. You are full. The only thing that you can see of yourself is that you are full.

Jesus gives us a scenario of things in our life that can keep us out of heaven and puts us in hell.

Matt 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.   KJV

In essence, Jesus is saying it would be better that you walk through life empty. So, you would be motivated to do something to save yourself.

It would be better if you were half of yourself so you would look to the GOD of heaven to save yourself.

·        The prodigal son went out full, but when he returned to the father’s house, he came back empty…

·        Naomi went out full but when she returned, she came home empty.

In both instances it was their realization of their emptiness that motivated them for the full.

·        Job’s walk with GOD was all business and no relationship. Job’s motivation to worship was based upon the fear of what had now came upon him. Job’s journey prior to everything taken from him was a rumor. He based it all upon what he heard about GOD.

We see this story as proving satan wrong and GOD right, but it was more than that. It was the emptiness that GOD allowed to come to his life, that motivated him to be full of GOD.

What did JOB do?

Job 42:5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.    KJV

JOB in his trouble, trial, and greatest struggle… GOD allowed satan to turn JOB’S world upside down and inside out. Only when JOB was empty, did he then see GOD…

What did JOB then do? What we must all do. JOB REPENTED.

Job 42:6 I'm sorry — forgive me. I'll never do that again, I promise! I'll never again live on crusts of hearsay, crumbs of rumor."     THE MESSAGE

Rise today, see yourself as you are full and without GOD. See yourself empty, and in need of the savior. Repent. Call on the LORD. BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST. Don’t be as the rich man. Do not go out of this world being full of the world. Know that you are empty and only GOD can make you full.

The prodigal returned to his Father’s house. Come, the Father is looking for you. He’s waiting on you.

Naomi who went out full returned empty. What is the first place she came to? Bethlehem. Yes, the place of the birth of Jesus Christ. The savior of the world. Bethlehem, the HOUSE OF BREAD. Naomi who was empty came back to the HOUSE OF BREAD.

If your empty--- Let GOD fill you. HE will do it. COME BACK TO THE HOUSE OF BREAD.

JESUS IS THE BREAD OF LIFE. BE FILLED WITH THE ONE WHO MATTERS.

Of course, there is unfortunately a bigger crowd that will never see themselves as empty. Usually this is religious people. Always we see them to late.

We know the story of the ten virgins. The five wise and the five foolish. Do not forget, the five foolish concluded they needed oil, but only when they ran out. While they were gone to buy more oil the bridegroom came at midnight and the five that had oil went in. I implore you today, don’t wait too late. BE FILLED NOW…

My Mother on Mothers Day

 

There’s a story in the bible that reveals a mother. This particular mother was dealt an unfair blow in life. It just so happens that she had given birth to two sons. Not just an ordinary mother, but a  mother who gave birth to the sons of a king. The entire story is found in 2 Samuel 21^st chapter. She was a lady that having heard of her sons being required as atonement for the failures of their father King Saul. Payment was required that silver or gold would not be sufficient. This story could be made about the father as king. However, the story is focused on mother. Here is just a brief part of that story.

2 Sam 21:2 And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)

3 Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD?

4 And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.

5 And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel,

6 Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them.    KJV

King David to make the infraction of Saul right, the request was that of the sons of the former King Saul. Unfair, not right, not at the very least from the perspective of this mother named Rizpah.

Here is a part of that story. Rizpah after hearing of this she goes to where her sons lay.

2 Sam 21:8 But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:

9 And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.

10 And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.   KJV

Don’t just pass over this. Can you imagine Rizpah beating away the fowls of the air during the day? Not to mention the beasts of the field from day to evening and through out the night? This was somewhere around 49 days she did this.

What’s the point of this on Mother’s day??? Its simple. There are devils. There are spirits from temptations, struggles, enemies, addictions in life. That just like Rizpah there are mothers that take whatever she has available to her and beats away such things that so much worse. Even than that of the dead of Rizpah being consumed by the fowls and the beasts.

To me this is what makes a mother. Not a mother who herself is consumed with money, a lifestyle of things of this corrupted world. Things that are un becoming of a mother, but instead a mother who goes and prays for her children, and grandchildren. Praying and beating away such demons and attacks of hell. I know what it is to have such a mother. I know what it is to have a linage of mothers who knew how to make a closet of prayer. Knew the importance of taking her children to church. Knew how important the man of GOD for her life and the life of her family. Who knew the importance of faithfulness in all commandments of the LORD. A mother that knows the importance of GOD’S plan of salvation. I HAVE THAT MOTHER… THANK YOU MOM… NOT ENOUGH CAN BE SAID… NOR ARE THERE WORDS TO SAY, TO ADEQUATELY SHOW THE DEEP APPRECIATION I FEEL. THANK YOU MOM FOR SHOWING ME AND HOLDING ON TO THE WAYS OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Just like Rizpah her actions got the attention of the king, and when king David heard of this precious mother who did what she did just to preserve her children. King David stepped in and answered this mother’s prayer. He kept her children from being consumed by the natural things of this world. For her two boys she fought the heat of the sun by day, and the cold of night, but it was her prayer that was answered. It was she that got the attention of the king.

I know my GOD has heard the prayers of my mother time and time again. My mother has got the attention of heaven for me, and for my brother and sister on many occasions. Because her righteous prayers were and will always be rewarded. Her answers have preserved me. Thank you mom and a much deserved HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!

The One Thing that Matters Most

 

Few doubt the times we are in. We have seen things like the world has never seen on this level. Everything is pointing to the one truth that this world is very quickly approaching the coming of the Lord. I could go into the prophecy of scriptures coming to pass. I could take this to the place as far as sin and its depth today that we are witnessing. I could go into a diatribe of corruption, lying, utter wickedness that is in the media and political the figureheads presently in office. We could take this road together in the direction of the present addictions from drugs to so many other addictions. We could list them, but for the sake of time and length of this blog. I take it that you know at least most of them. I could relay the facts of such compromise and the many falling away in the pulpit, in the pew in general the houses of worship. We can see on the horizon of the coming economic collapse; this too could be written about as well. However, I believe we can agree that most of us see this. So much of just that is listed above can and of itself be expounded on extensively and in many cases it has even to the point of exhaustion. This is what leads to me to this particular place of HOPE, FAITH, THANKFULNESS and while many may not understand a CERTAIN EXCITEMENT. I can wring my hands about the above craziness and chaos that I cannot do anything about. That is save the one thing that I can do about it, at which I hope you do as well and that is PRAY ABOUT IT.

Yet, all of this brings me to the ONE THING that I know that keeps me from the brink of insanity, and the desire to take matters in my own hands. The ONE THING that I hope you have your finger on the pulse of. The ONE THING that matters more than any and all the above and the more that could be listed.

1 Cor 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.   KJV

You know that because of this ONE THING here that I KNOW, and hope that YOU KNOW. The whole world can jump off the proverbial cliff and what matters most is this ONE THING. JESUS CHRIST AND HIM CRUCIFIED.

Paul with the ability to tie the tongues, deeds, and the words of the false prophets, said I refuse to even come to you to do so. The ONE THING I will come to you with is the ONE AND ONLY THING THAT MATTERS. Paul is saying, don’t focus on them, nor the things they are saying, neither all the things that you can’t fix or give explanation to anyway. If you know this ONE THING, it matters not what YOU DON’T KNOW. I will say it like this as well. If you KNOW THE ONE that matters, then it matters not WHO YOU DON’T KNOW.

HE’S MY BALANCE TO ALL THIS. THE ONE I DO KNOW, THE KNOWLEDGE THAT I DO HAVE.

The Enemy

 

We are living today where there is an enemy. An enemy that is bigger than life.  

·        Do we know our enemy? Not just who he is, but his ways.

There is an enemy that is very real, an enemy so deceptive that he can appear as though he isn't your enemy. He can appear as a friend. (See Adam and Eve.) Not only can he appear as a friend the bible lets us know that he can even an angel of light. We can mistake him. We can fail to see him. This deceptive enemy can make it look like family is your enemy. The devil can make it look as though GOD is the enemy. Satan seeks to manipulate us, our emotions to gain access to the powers of our persuasions. The Bible states of our enemy “he is the father of lies.” Recognize the lie. Don't believe the lie. Rebuke and resist the lie.

I have an enemy but its not you. My enemy and your enemy is the devil. He's my greatest enemy and he is your greatest enemy. It’s not a brother across town. Its not a brother or sister in the church. Its not a family member. He’s that fallen angel, Lucifer. The one called, that old serpent; Satan.

What I want to establish in this post is this. I have an enemy that wants to destroy me. He hates me because he hates my GOD. 

Often it is brother pitted against brother. Or sister against sister. A family against a family.  When we as can cut away and sever ourselves one from another that is what the devil desires. By definition. An enemy is --- a person who is actively opposed or hostile to someone or something.

The words synonymous with the word “enemy,” opponent, antagonist, rival, combatant, also included is the biblical term that describes the devil. Adversary.

Knowing that this is the definition it centers on the ways of the devil. Pride, jealousy, strife, and rebellion is the center of what makes the devil who he is. If this becomes our center, then who are we most like? The enemy is so good at what he does in creating this, we can be unaware of his existence in us. Herein lies his possible influence in and over us.

There should only be one enemy, the one that we know is the enemy of GOD. He's your enemy, he's my enemy.

Eph 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.     KJV

Invention Through Ignorance

 

INVENTION THROUGH IGNORANCE 

There are things that we enjoy today that believe it or not came by way of accident. Things that help, things that benefit us, and yes, things that we enjoy. So much so that we could not even imagine doing without them.

Plato said of science. “Science is nothing but perception.”

Take the accidental discovery that today because of an accident just about every American home has one. Percy Spencer was an American engineer who, while working for Raytheon, walked in front of a magnetron, a vacuum tube used to generate microwaves, and noticed that the chocolate bar in his pocket melted. In 1945 after a few more experiments (one involving an exploding egg), Spencer successfully invented what we now know as the microwave oven.  Father’s try living without one.

We call it an accidental discovery. However, it was perception of what they did not know. Ignorance is nothing more than the absence of knowledge not yet perceived.

The bible speaks of those who are ignorant of such perceptions of righteousness, holiness, purity, and of GOD’S character at all.

1)     Job spoke of the thief, the burglar that is ignorant of the light…

Job 24:16 Burglars do their work at night, but keep well out of sight through the day. They want nothing to do with light.  THE MESSAGE BIBLE

The KJV renders it as, “they know not the light.”

2)     The psalmist speaks of such ignorance as being without perception.

Ps 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.   KJV

Both cases know not GOD because they see not. GOD who is light and in HIM there is no darkness at all. How can one know light when the darkness they have, they have defined it for themselves as light?

1 John 1:5 (IN PART) God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.    KJV

3)     Micah and Jerimiah both speak of the pervasive ignorance of those who know not GOD.

Mic 4:12 But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.    KJV

Jer 9:3 And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.    KJV

It can and must be said that what Jerimiah and Micah are saying is “they know not the LORD.” Not because they cannot, but because they will not. We see the result, they are without the LORD. They could know HIM… The LORD desires to be known and yet, they are without HIM.  Why are they without the LORD? They are not valiant for the truth.

Paul records what is left for those who do not know HIM.

Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,    KJV

When they knew GOD. What one may know of GOD may be limited. What one’s idea of GOD may be just a little. But what destroyed them was (THEY GLORIFIED HIM NOT AS GOD.) The word goes on and says what follows. (NEITHER WERE THEY THANKFUL.)

The point is this. They were not valiant… They were unwilling to fight… They were satisfied… Their pervasive thought was. We are ok with where we are, and with what we are.

Many proclaim they know GOD. Yet, its on the basis of their own perception. This is on the ignorance of man. If one cannot obey the known commandments of GOD? How can they then say they know GOD? This has always been true of man. Take what Paul said of Israel in his generation.

Rom 10:1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.    KJV

We can be like Plato; (necessity is mother of invention.) Unfortunately our invention is usually upon our own perception. We often go about establishing our own perception of what we think righteousness is.

* We do not have to go to church.

* We do not have to give what belongs to GOD. 

* We do not have to desire GOD like that.

* We do not have to live separated unto GOD in holiness.

* We do not have to praise GOD in dancing, or some way of noise. Whether that be in a shout, a clap of the hands, or some kind of instrument. My praise is silent. This is not proven in the word of GOD.

* What do you mean, I must repent?

* Water baptism, the Holy Ghost is not a must. This is just an added blessing. We need not this for our salvation.

I will say it like this, this is invention through ignorance. Everyone of these as listed and so much more is a must and cannot be ignored. To do so is simply to not be valiant for GOD and to go about establishing our own way. All this is, is INVENTION THROUGH IGNORANCE.

Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.    KJV

There is an assurance that HE hath given to all men. Just be sure its not your own INVENTION THROUGH OUR OWN IGNORANCE. Have the perception of what is

A Promise, A Blessing, A Word

Isa 30:15 This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: "Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But you would have none of it.      NLT

This word how special it is. It’s truth. Its powerful. But I see it as a lesson. A means to an end. And end to stress, weakness, fear, struggle. I could go on. But its sure. Its settled. While Isaiah is speaking and recording. It’s the LORD we hear. Its HIS words.  We could go back in time and we can examine the culture, the times, the peoples, and their problems. Its their sin. Its there weakness. Its their failures. But what rings out to me is this word. It's a forever settled word. As true and relevant as it was in 750 B.C. I find it as much if not more so today.

The GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob says, ONLY (emphasis mine) ONLY in returning to ME. 

How much can be said of us today in this word? How much can be said of our times, our people, our nation, our world, and where we are individually? ONLY us returning to ME and RESTING in ME WILL YOU BE SAVED.

How is this apply to me? The the world I live in? To me as a father, a husband? How about to my children? In this day of no rest. A day with entertainment at the ready. Sports, hobbies, game systems, social media. While the world is on fire with chaos. A world that is existing and running on fumes of anger and dissent. And this word that GOD has given us. ONLY IN RETURNING TO ME AND RESTING IN ME WILL YOU BE SAVED. I take comfort in that word right there. Jesus is my answer. Jesus is my center. Jesus is my focus. Jesus is my love. Jesus is my hope. We read the words that follow and where they bring us to. In quietness and confidence is your strength. When I do the first thing I get all those things that follow. I get blessed. I get away from the outside noise. I turn of the news. I turn off the outside voices of dissent, the chaos. My emotions, my feelings are not manipulated by the enemy. GOD has then given me the means to have self-control and not be controlled. I can rest. I can sleep. I can free myself of worry. I can be strong. I can have strength to face the adversity and the struggle of life. I receive rest. I am saved. I have quietness and confidence. I have your strength.

"Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength.

The word Isaiah gave was to another people, another time, and in another place. I hear their response to the ONE could have, and who would have made their lives so much sweeter, happier, peaceful. So much joy and contentment. But alas, YOU WOULD HAVE NONE OF IT.
